First time here?

We want you to feel welcome and at home at Crossroads. We know that your first time at a church might bring up some questions, so feel free to reach out to us or check out some frequently asked questions below!

FAQ's

Here are some answers to a few questions you might have before your first visit.

What will services be like?

Each week, you will experience inspiring music, an encouraging message, and friendly people. The service typically runs about an hour and fifteen minutes, with complimentary coffee always available in the foyer.

An average service starts with a praise and worship songs, prayer, and some announcements. We then continue with a 30 minute sermon. Once a month, we take communion during the service.

What time should I arrive?

We suggest arriving a few minutes before the 10 AM service begins to allow for parking, grabbing coffee, restrooms, etc.

We want you to be able to find a comfortable seat, and you’ll probably feel more acclimated to the room if you have a few minutes to adjust before the service begins. You might even make a new friend!

Do you have something for children?

Absolutely! Children from birth to 5th grade have their own activities designed especially for them in Crossroads Kids, our children’s ministry. Students 6th through 12th grade can join us at the adult service. If you wish to bring your children with you to the adult service on your first visit, that’s fine too! We are thankful to have your family join us.

If you have children attending Crossroads Kids, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes in advance of our 10 AM service to get your children registered, because safety first!

We also have Family Night every Wednesday from 6-7:30pm.  During this time we have something for kids from birth to 5th grade in Crossroads Kids.  For students from 6th to 12th grade, we have Unshakable Youth Ministries.

What should I wear?

We’re way more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear to church. But so you’ll feel comfortable, know that most folks dress in casual weekend attire, and even the pastor will be wearing jeans. So dress comfortably and you’ll fit right in!

How do I get there?

Crossroads meets at 515 S. Hillcrest Drive in Montrose. We are right on the corner of Hillcrest Dr and Miami Rd.  Click here for directions.

Do I have to give an offering?

Not at all! In fact, we don’t even pass an offering plate during our services. Instead, we provide offering boxes positioned conveniently on the back walls, so people can give if they’d like. Many people use our online giving option as well. Any offerings we receive support the full range of ministries we offer in the church and community, and around the world.

As our guest, we want you to come and get to know us, without feeling any pressure to have to give.

Will I be called out as a guest?

No, we’re not going to call you out, make you wave, stand up, or dance.

However, we’d like to encourage you to fill out a Connect Card. If you do, we’ll follow up with you. We promise not to put any unfair pressure on you to ever come again. Although, we hope you will!

All first time guests receive a small gift as our way of saying that we’re really glad you came. To pick yours up, drop by the Connection Center after the service.

We’re excited you’re considering joining us. We can’t wait to meet you!
